FISCAL INCENTIVE
OSCIP
Foreign companies that are legally established in Brazil can donate up to 2% of their operational profit, or the results from their main and secondary activities and deduct it from taxes.
To do so, the institute must formalize with the company the project that will be granted the donation, following some of the requirements such as the participation of employees and benefits to the community where the company is established or is represented.

THE ROUANET LAW
Sponsorship through financial resources using the Rouanet Law allows, as a fiscal benefit, a deduction of 100% on the amount that was given as operational expenses in this investment, up to the limit of 4% of tax income of individuals and 6% of tax income of companies.
Through this law, the sponsor or donor may transfer values or properties to the carrying out of cultural projects. This incentive with tax deduction can also mean promotion or publicity to the company and it can cover the projects’ expenses. Individuals or companies’ cultural projects, either for- or non-profit, are entitled to this sponsorship.
In order to have the investments made in the projects deducted, the first step is to obtain the approval of the Ministry of Culture within the period determined for raising money.
Instituto Brasil Solidario’s projects that can benefit from the Rouanet Law:
• Photography books, developed for partners and interested companies, whose main goal is to show images and cultural data of the places visited.
• Social programs and activities developed by IBS focused on educational, social and cultural actions (library, theater, cinema, and courses).
